Flavors blackberry, raspberry, and spice grace this outstanding wine. Full body, tannins are softer, good balance with acidity and ends with mineral tones. Again nice value.

The Syrah Aléria XX270 comes from the coastal commune of Aléria on the French isle of Corsica and is planted to a mature, hillside site with vines aged over 30 years. It is dense, dark purple, with rich flavours of blackberry, plum, spices and some pepper.

From Corsica, but tastes like a "New World" Syrah. Bright fruit flavors. Not many organic notes. Nothing like I expected but really drinkable. Balanced acidity. Nice surprise!

From tasting of 2013 Syrah varietals. Old world. Flat. Thin. Medium low alcohol. Medium ruby. Nose Opened up to a very different wine after 20 minutes. Taste remained flat. Small for Syrah
