Bright Crimson. Aromas of cherry, earth and cow yard. Unoaked but still notes of mocha and spice proving these nuances can be entirely grape derived. Light to medium weight tannins and acid. Drink now to 5 years.

Dark Ruby. Initial hint of dirty tea towel (Brett) which did not impact on the palate. Sweet cherry and red fruit flavours with a touch of cinnamon. Medium bodied tannins. Low acidity. Short term cellaring. 2013 vintage.

Plum, smoke, beef fat, pepper, maybe some creamy oak. Big and juicy plum and black cherry on the palate with strong, somewhat bitter tannins. Bit of black tea in the finish.

Well balanced, interesting, and food friendly...and cheap. I like.

Plum, violet, grape candy, black pepper, and beef fat. Ripe, dark fruit up front with medium acidity and coarse, somewhat bitter tannins.

Rustic, ripe, and good with food. I like it.
