Dark as the cardinal’s robe dipped in communion wine. Smells like paste, wood shavings, and berry sauce. Tastes like an easy drinking berry heavy cocktail. (W/ Kirsch?). Plenty of tannins. A simple, likable, hearty red.

Mar 13th, 2020Deep dark garnet red color. Not quite as purple edged as many Malbecs. Simple tart red berry and elderberry juice nose. Flavor is also tart and dry with much less of that overbearing vanilla and grape punch than most Argentinian Malbec. Plenty of tannin. A little rustic and blunt, but this is a Malbec I can actually abide. (Hell maybe even enjoy...).
