This was exceedingly quiet, in contrast to my expectations. No experience with this before this bottle, so I don't know if that is its true character, if it's shut down, or if it was mildly corked below my sensitivity threshold. Comes across as a timid expression of skin contact - enough to mute the fruit, but not so much as to develop the additional flavors, structure and texture one expects from a skin contact ferment. Tried it at a range of temperatures (fridge all the way through ambient room) and over the course of a couple hours in the decanter. I dunno. I drink a lot of skin contact whites, and this one leaves me puzzled. My gut tells me this bottle was not showing all this wine has in store, but YMMV. Would love to hear other's experience with this wine...

As put by @Marc Stubblefield , a very quiet wine. Could see some glimpses of the wine opening up, but it never came to fruition.

More interesting than delicious, the oxidative notes were pronounced but not integrated, it was all bass and treble if that makes sense. Slight hit of vanilla, hey it is a Cali wine right? I'd try it in a different vintage but wouldn't necessarily seek this one out.

Was expecting a bit more pop w/ on the skins but not really there. Didn't hate it, but a little too much butter on the end. But I guess it is a Chardonnay after all...
