This is a nice Napa Cabernet, but not a typical one, from Oak Knoll District.

Showing red fruits with cedar, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, barnyard and vegetables.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

A little underwhelming, but a good everyday wine.

Might get a little better in a year or two.

14.1% alcohol by volume. Vegan.

88 points.

$35.

Drank 9/5/19. Tasting event. Tasting pour.

Bright red fruit on the nose. Red and blackberry flavors, but a bit simple. Well made, and nicely balanced, but lacking a bit of interest. Medium tannins and finish.

Dark red purple in the glass. Nose of currant and black cranberry. Full-bodied (but kinda soft) fruit forward palate with medium acidity and medium minus tannins which grow a wee bit more assertive with some air. A solid performer in this range — especially if on sale — but I’d spend the extra seven bucks for the Oakville when they’re regular price. An excellent pair with Filet Mignon and other light cuts.

A very enjoyable Oakville Napa Cabernet. Showing black fruits with chocolates, oak, vanilla, licorice and cola.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Long finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

Very enjoyable by itself or with food. Tasty and extremely fruity.

Might need a few years in the bottle to chill.

Much better than their Oak Knoll District Cabernet.

13.7% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Had high hopes. Barnyard and sulfur was strong and off putting. After some aeration, it blew off but there wasn’t much else to it. ;/

So smooth and way to easy to drink. You want to gulp it down or stick a long straw in the bottle and sip away. A perfect California cab.

Sipping Fine Wine

Previously tried ‘14, the ‘15 is not much better. Dark ruby color with aromas of ripe jammy dark fruit. The palate shows ripe blackberries and black cherries with hints of heavy spice. The tannins are somewhat harsh, dry and gritty. The wine is full bodied with a short spicy finish. Disappointing, overpriced. Will not get better.

Beautiful ruby in color with a light burgundy rim.

Nice fruity nose of black currants, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, plums, licorice, oak, vanilla, alcohol, cola, leather, light green vegetables, herbs, chocolates, bell pepper, tobacco, earth and black pepper.

Medium plus in body and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, bell pepper, cherries, oak, green vegetables, spices, peppercorn, dark chocolates and tobacco.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tart raspberries.

This is an enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.
Simple with some complexity,
but I would love to have more structure here.
A Good party wine that did not change much in the decanter.

A little flat for my taste, and might not be worth the $20. However, drinkable and enjoyable by itself or with food.

I would give it one more year in the bottle, to chill down, and get rid of the green notes, but I'm not sure it has enough in it to carry it through.

Noce cherry, plum, and toasted oak with a richness initially and some good viscosity and structure. A little lacking in acidity but good Napa Cab under $30 nonetheless.
