Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, Italy
This wine will be called dessert tonight. An unreal nose of Tart cherries, raspberries and baking spices. On the palate this is like grandmas sugar cookies, a cherry Tart, and maybe a little nutmeg. Very high ABV is nicely offset by nice acidity. A great ending to an Italian feast in NYC. Will need to hit the gym in the morning.

It is said, “you can safely forget an Amarone in your cellar”. Sorry for my impatience. This wine is dark , rich, elegant and adventurous. Figs, dates, ripe dark plums and raisins are some of the featured profiles of flavor. An initial sweetness becoming a robust, long and smooth finish.
Wish I could say I have more forgotten Amarone in my cellar.

C inky, opaque with sediment; N date, plum, dark fruit, violet, sweet, perfume; T Heavy mouth feel, pungent flavor, date, plum, dark fruit with hints of eucalyptus and menthol on aftertaste; sweeter at first then acidity came out as opened up; long, long finish; enjoyed with pasta puttanesca

WOTN.not too sweet, no alcoholic heat despite the 17%. Nice fruit. Bussola never dissapoints. Terrific wine!

Not sure if this is past prime but nose was nonexistent. Medium body honestly a bit disappointing. Maybe was a bad bottle
