Easy drinking well made wines from well respected wine makers for a decent price. This is the underlying connection of the La Boutanche lineup.
This one is from Quentin Bourse of Le Sot de l’Ange (idiot angel). This bottling is usually 100% Grolleau but this year included some Gamay.
It has a glowing rose color and notes of sour red berries and mousey breakfast bran. It’s well balanced and tasty and nothing more and exactly what La Boutanche is all about.

Crisp, clean, saline! Whatever hint of fruit exists is as wildly exotic as it is subtle.Think dragonfruit-air, or some other El Bulli-esque feat.
