The historic Livermore winery, Concannon was bought and sold many times in the 80’s by large conglomerates, where each sale hurt the brand. In 1992 Eric Wente of Wente Vineyards put a group of 8 investors together to buy the winery, which operates autonomously from Wente. Straw with focused stone fruit flavors and citrus notes. On the palate flavors of apple, pear and light tropical fruits, good balance with lively acidity. Lingering finish ending with gentle oak notes. Nice valve still holds up.

Bright yellow with stone fruit aromas and citrus notes. On the palate apple, pear and melon flavors with lemon zest. Some savory oak tones with toasty vanilla notes carry this to a lingering finish. Nice value.

Baked apples that have been slightly buttered followed by a short woft of oak. A pretty decent Chardonnay.

Bright pale yellow. Low/medium nose of stone fruit. Bright tart acids after melon/tart apple. Not too buttery. Easy going down.

Nice chard with some bottle age. Stone fruits, chrysanthemums, chalky minerals, and vanilla. Round and ripe. A bit too oaky for me.

Smooth yet overpowering punch of butter and oak and sour. It does stand up strong to compliment spicy Cajun cuisine though
