This is a huge, steroidal Tempranillo, rich with strong tannins and dense cherry currant flavors. It stood up admirably to both creme freshe steak and summer vegetable curry ( the two Blue Apron dishes that were on the verge of spoilage). This is one of those great Swiss Army knife food wines 😼

Possibly the best example of Tempranillo I have tasted, excluding of course the fabulous Harney Lane perennial fantastique, this wine is medium bodied with restrained blackberry and plum tones. Good with avarity of foods but also as an early evening cocktail wine.

Got better as it opened up. Just not a huge budget Tempranillo fan.

Never had a Temp from Australia. Tart, berries. Nice dark color. Tanins.

What a great Temp! It really reminded me a strong West Texas Tempranillo. It paired well with Antelope blackstrap.

Love a good tempranillo. Tart and dry with a very slight sweet/fruity aftertaste. Very warm.

Church council...big decisions tonight. Ton of oak on the open, medium body, starts to come together after 30 minutes or so.
