2016 vintage.
Bright ruby red.
Dark cherry, tobacco and fresh tilled earth.
Smooth acidity with medium, silky tannins.
Bright cherry, Coca Cola and under brush.
If anyone asks what Oregon Pinot Noir should taste like….pour them a glass of this.

Bought this on super sale at Costco for $24.99. You can tell that this wine was crafted well but it was not my cup of tea. New oak and alcohol were prominent, distracting from the floral and fruit notes that developed more on day 3. Notes of black cherry, raspberry jolly rancher, blueberry, cola, licorice, wet black tea bag, cedar and baking spices. medium plus tannin, medium plus body, high alcohol, medium acid and medium plus length of finish.
Medium plus complexity

Restrained... For the pedigree I expect more given the bottle age. Anyone else experiencing the austerity from 2011 Shea?

These days, I’m in love with Shea vineyard fruit! For the wineries, it’s the most expensive fruit in Oregon, yet the wines don’t kill the wallet. The balance between pure fruit, mineral undertones, and acidity is pure perfection. Drinking beautifully. 2015 vintage on Aug 1, 2019
