Apple, pithy lemon, dried apricot, hay and hints of honeydew melon. Great acidity and balance.

Spritzy lime pith, string bean, and wax - this Kerner from David Ramey’s second label is tactile, lithe, and showing rather youthful. Who knew this grape even grew in Lodi? A lovely accompaniment to the black pepper tofu I made from the Ottolenghi cookbook and Der Rosenkavalier in the background.

Not as aromatic as comparable Northern Italian équivalent, the Californian Kerner is dry and pleasant with exotic fruit on the palate and short, but pleasant finish. Try it with Chinese food.

Sublime white. Mineral / slate on the nose but absolutely bursting with fresh fruit notes on the tongue. This grape needs more attention!
