Hard to rate this. Quality is apparent as is big appeal for some. Big fruit but silky and Gina of American oak.

The 10 vintage hasn't revealed it's true self. I Coravin-ed this tasting. The fruits are juicy; blackberries, black plum, dark cherries, huge baking spices; vanilla, toasted coconut, caramel, cinnamon, clove & nutmeg, Asian spice, black olive, green bell pepper (issues with fruit ripening), violets, dry crushed rocks, volcanic minerals, leathery, tobacco leaf, pepper, grilled meats, acidity is slightly off, the tannins are still fairly big as is the structure & length. The balance is a little off as it's still slightly more earth over fruit for CA Cabernet, but the finish is solid. Better things in five years.

Enjoyed a bottle of this with our friends the Greene's tonight, and evidently it was a popular choice, as I saw at least two other bottles being opened near me.
This Stag's Leap District is a bit different than I expected. The nose was on point (graphite, blackberries), but the taste was more Cherry/sweet tart driven as opposed to a more blueberry and mocha taste I get from other wines from this district. It was a unique wine (nice tannins after getting it some air) and I always enjoy things that are different than expected (assuming in a good way).

Excellent! I’ve had plenty of the Regusci lineup, forgetting when I had their basic Cabernet. Easily competes with many of the sub $100 Cabernets from Napa imo.
