Really nice blend. 48% cab sauv, 21% cab franc, 21% Syrah, 10% Malbec. Nose was blueberry, earth, pepper and a hint of vanilla. Smooth mid plate with a medium weight and good balance of fruit and acidity. Oak, blackberry and raspberry with pepper, spice and forest floor that lingered for a long time. Enjoyable.

Nov 25th, 2017Wonderful bouquet. Grippy tannins, but not obtrusive. Blackberries, leather, cassis perhaps some menthol? The finish lingers for at least 30 seconds. A very good wine in an otherwise horrible year in Napa. I wish I had more of this.

Opens great to subtle flavor then expands in the mouth. Picks up deep fruit after it's opened for a couple of hours.

Perfect follow up to the Veal chop!!- deep dark purple wonderful fulfilling taste hint of dark chocolate - tobacco - smooth tannins - no after taste. Great find.
