With 20 minute decant the nose was opulent leading a rich and layered palate of concentrated dark red fruit, pipe tobacco. Tiny bit clipped on an otherwise focussed sweet oak finish. Nice!

Delicious and elegant Margaux ! Lovely tempting aroma of earth, black currents, chocolate, medium to full body, well integrated tannins, lovely balancing acidity and a long elegant finish. My score 90, drink to 2024

Soft hint of cassis, very savory with loads of mushroom and soy. Completely resolved tannins, acidity still in the game, and throwing some minor sediment for the age

Quite a wide skirt and clear bricking, though still quite dense and dark at the core; lovely nose of violets and forest floor as soon as the pungent barnyard notes blew off; still quite tannic and an odd chalkiness in the mid-palette, though without the fruit to back it up. Lovely nose but weak on the palette.
