Anderson Valley Gewürztraminer

This is the dry one; 3042 cases made. Pale yellow white, excellent clarity. Honeysuckle and spice in nose. Ginger with a touch of pink grapefruit in the mouth. Winery claims jasmine flavor as well; I’ll buy that. Good acidity, as always a great one. After 15 minutes, apple and pear flavors emerge with slight skin astringency in finish. Ask for it dry...

Peaches and mango, nice, dry Gewürz, paired quite well with a spicy-marinated, grilled chicken tonight. Navarro makes a few late harvest versions on this varietal, all are very good. If you ever find yourself in Philo, stop in and visit their tasting room, it's an interesting, rustic spot.
Even cooler, they also bottle grape juice on their Gewürz and Pinot...if you ever happen to see it, buy no less than 6 bottles and you'll be a very happy person!

Whoa. Didn't know what to expect. It was beautiful; youthful, rich, balanced and evolved. Paired precisely with Crab, Thai Basil, Chili and Ginger noodles.

Perfect Sunday afternoon sipping wine.

Funky at first, but then interesting.

Green apple, peach, and acidic for food pairing. Also tasted green tea. Thus wine has some good history and always enjoy dry white wines!
