Blackberries and black currant abound on the nose and the palette. Touch of tobacco on the palette as well. Velvety. Bright tannins; definitely wants some red meat with it.

Fun blast from the past, still quite fresh and structured, though softened surprisingly quickly in the decanter. Petit sirah used to be considered one if the most age-worthy CA varietals, and this proves that belief, aided by plenty of acid, and at only 12.5 alcohol would have been harvested early, while still full of life and vigor.
