Gemstone Vineyard is nestled between rolling knolls on the eastern edge of Napa Valley. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc & 3% Petite Verdot and aged for 20 months in French oak (68% new). Aromas of sweet berry fruit and earthy tobacco. On the palate sweet cherry and blackberry flavors with tobacco and cacao with some savory spice. Fine tannins needing a bit more time on a lingering finish ending with earthy mineral.
