Extremely easy going for a 14,5% wine. First Bulgarian wine on here. I couldn't say it's a merlot on the nose but I get a bit of currant and cherry, hay, an earthy thing too. The palate is thick and on the fruity, borderline sweet side. There is a powerful acid backbone to balance the thickness and sweetness of the palate too. It's balanced but not subtle. There is a bit of kick in tue rear and a finish with a bright fruit and some almond. This is not a subtle wine but it's a pleasing one.
