Needs about two hours of air and then it’s firing on all cylinders. Brambles, saucisson sec (with that white mold on the casing), Orange glacé...really fascinating nose. Pure, juicy brambles, white pepper and the slightest touch of mint. Lip smacking finish. This bottle held up for three days after opening. Bravo. Drink now with a decant and will drink well through 2025. Bravo.

Bottle 3 of the Ravenswood library case. This one opened pretty quickly and showed well. This is listed at 13.8 abv. Very claret like. Still has a decent amount of structure but it’s approachable and retains some dark fruit.
