Happy Easter y’all!
I celebrated by opening this dandy Gevry! This bottle marks the most I have ever spent on a single bottle ($75).
With the social distancing set in place I (un)fortunately had to drink this one all on my own. I would have rather shared this with others who would also appreciate it…but here we are. I won’t complain about drinking good burgundy all by myself LOL

This wine was extremely funky at first with lots of earthy notes: wet leaves, dirt. The nose became fruitier as it opened up.
The palate was smooth with lovely tart cherries. It lingered on the palate for quite a while.

A nice wine to have on a quarantined holiday and Monty Python & the Holy Grail on tv!

Nicely made, however nothing too special. A little thin up front but closes nicely. Tart cherry and cedar, nice minerals on the finish along with some acidity.

Quite developed for a '13 Village GevChamb; lots of earth and spice with mild fruit. Much better the second night!
