On this Memorial Day holiday when we honor those that have come before us and sacrificed their lives and fought for our freedoms so we can have the things we cherish today. I am honored to have wore the Navy Blue and White of the United States Navy and to have followed in the footsteps of my father who served in the United States Army during World War II. I today have opened the 2015 Lemelson Vineyard Cuvée X Willamette Valley Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is strawberry, cranberry, raspberry, cherry, vanilla, mushroom and nice earthy notes.
On the palate there is bright red fruit, cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cola, mushroom, minerality and fresh tilled soil.
This is a fresh medium bodied wine with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that lead right to a long fresh bright fruit finish.
