Been almost a year since I’ve had this. Super mineral and yeasty nose. Lemon drop as well but insanely mineral. Palate has lovey mousse and intense yeasty cut. Clean and so pure. Not too complex but utterly delicious.

Nov 7th, 2019Been a minute since I’ve had this one. Yeasty nose with lime zest and very high toned. Loads of minerals. Meyer lemon. Apple skins. Great complexity. Lovely cut and sap with good lemony and yeasty mineral inflected fruit. Almost lemon drop on the finish with minerals. Very elegant and excellent but not intrusive structure. Drinkable and will age. Great. Very juicy and long.

Sep 15th, 2018Gorgeous yeasty lemony nose. Very clean. Juicy and lively with lovely lemon drop and Meyer Lemon sweetness. Really complex. Nice lean structure and minerality and terrific energy. Great showing.

On day 2 a bit more lean and elegant. Mineral wafting nose, lots of intense minerals and yeastiness on the palate. Very juicy and clean. Lovely mineral finish with sneaky persistence.

First wine from latest batch. Love 2008 and really am more and more impressed with this estate. Gorgeous, elegant nose of yeasty mineral laden goodness. Palate is like a cloud with beautiful, tangy citrus fruit, yeasty BDB goodness and wonderful finesse. Terrific wine.

Primarily citrus fruit on the nose with little autolytic character. Mousse dissipates quickly. Dry, crisp, and focused on the palate with only 12% alcohol. Base wine made from 100% Chardonnay fermented in oak barrels with only partial malolactic fermentation. Bargain at $40 for grower champagne.
