In mag. 47% Cab 43% Petit Verdot and the rest Syrah. Classic Herman Story boldness and fun had by all.

Another solid effort by Russ From, everyone’s favorite full-throttle wine maker in Paso. Come for the wines, stay for the (legendary) parties. Last time I went they had live zoo animals and Disney Land princesess in full costume. Epic.

Opaque purple. Heady, smoke-tinged aromas of ripe black currant and cherry are complemented by suggestions of mocha, vanilla, cured meat and pipe tobacco. Sweet and expansive on the palate, offering deep-pitched dark fruit preserve, cherry cola, vanilla and floral pastille flavors sharpened by a hint of cracked pepper. Gently chewy tannins build steadily on a very long, dark-fruit- and spice-driven finish that leaves a hint of espresso behind. 70% new French oak. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2020)

A very lush wine. Bordeaux/Rhône blend from Paso. Cherry liqueur, currants, violets, dark chocolate, coffee, star anise, nutmeg. Long and intense finish. Hedonistic!
