Wonderful tasting at Williams Selyem this past weekend. My second favorite tasting after Hall. This was my favorite Pinot from the group. Presents as elegant Pinot. 13.2% ABV. Th winemaker describes as “dark cherry, dried herbs, black olive, wood spice. My wheelhouse for WS Pinots tends to be around 5 years.

This 2014 is showing high alcohol and overripe red cherry fruit. While this is a solid wine overall (acid/fruit/oak), stylistically it is a clumsy example of RRV pinot noir.
