Midwinter Nights Dram Blend of Straight Rye Whiskeys

Best rye I’ve ever had. And maybe best I’ll ever have. Not to be mixed with anything stupid like coke or gingerale. Drink this one straight homies.

A blend of 6 and 16 year old whiskey. Finished in port barrels and there is an unmistakable red wine nose plus some cherry/raspberry flavor in the mix. Thought provoking rye for the wine lover. Velvety smooth with minimal bite.

You can taste the lift of the oak and port barrels they use to dial this rye blend in. Smooth for sipping.

Wow. Decadent. I get brown sugar and spice. Viscous. Had some heat to start but has calmed down. Surprised me at first since although 98.6 proof it’s not as high as some barrel proofs. Really nice and glad I tried. Best rye? I’m not there but it’s really good and beating the Japanese Biker’s Journey.

That’s got to be the best prose whiskey to grace me lips laddies. Go Utah.

I can smell this from across the room. Nice wood and spice. So soft on the palate. Finish that keeps going. Great stuff.
