Loved the previous vintages, but the '15 is reeeeaaal hot. While this is expected for '15 Beaujolais, I'm still surprised. Reminds me more of a Syrah than a Gamay on both the nose and the palate; jammy with ripe red fruits & heavy dark plum, sweetly spiced, stemmy, quite a bit of tannin. It's still a well crafted and good wine, but not as quaffable as I like my Gamay. I pulled it out as a chilled, late afternoon sipper but definitely needs to be served with a meal.

Very dark rhonish approach to beaujolais, dark roast, stewed plum, acid aplenty, rustic approach, strikes me unusual

Like drinking mulled cranberry juice on a camping trip in the Sierras with friends, where everyone is happy, nothing goes wrong and the firewood never runs out. Easy-going, with woodsy spice taking precedence over (still present) sour fruits.

Light, easy drinking, subtle notes of Fruit with bits of that old world funk we've all grown to love. Definitely worth a try for you old world lovers out there.

Rebellious teen spirit shows where Julian Guilot wants to take Clos des Vignes du Maynes, what many believe is the oldest organically farmed winery in France. Stands out visually from its family portrait, but extremely good Gamay. Tight high pitched perfumed red fruit and flowers. High acid and crushed rocks. Awesome.

2016 vintage bought at Ruby’s. Drank chilled. Nose - cherries and plums mixed with woodland. Taste: light but long finish. Skins of cherries and plums. Nice tannin. Tastes like summer somehow.

Great bottle of this. Tons of crunchy red fruit and minerality.
