Angel's Reserve Lodi Petite Sirah

This style of wine is popular in some circles, but has never been to my own taste. It is heavily Oakes, overwhelming the fruit which is my preferred tasting proxy. The predominant flavors are oak, cigar, road asphalt, and graphite. This style will suit aficionados of such thick and smoky wines, but it is not to my own taste.

Beautiful ruby red color nice bouquet,very dry with a spicy finish

It has that strong bark and fruit note you get with petite syrah, but the rest of it doesn't really deliver. Not bad, but not memorable. Pretty one dimensional.

Not my favorite. Reminds me of lower priced red blend. Wouldn’t order out, but still will drink at home.

I usually like Petite Sirah, but this just felt syrupy. I didn’t waste it, but I didn’t much like it, either. Tolerable.

A red that I actually like.

Really tasty wine with lots of oak influence and some great dark fruits. Would buy again
