A interesting blend of 88% Garnacha & 12% Tempranillo grapes which is medium bodied. Nose of fig, clove, and autumn leaves with the pallate adding flavors of raspberry sauce with a tinge of sweetness. A perfect pairing with cinnamon & paprika spiced pork chops topped with a cherry sauce and mashed potatoes. ($18) [10/16/18]

Drinkable, although this wasn't in the same category as the more robust ,savory tempranillo that I am accustomed to, it still has the backbone+enough acidity & a little tannin to carry it through.

Very closed and reductive for first hour. Finally starts to open up with red bramble fruit, dried rose petals, forest floor and firm tannins on the finish, framed with solid acidity.

Spain, rioja that is good but not great. I think it is technically higher rated than the Campo Viejo but I preferred the latter. I get hints of strawberry in this one. 14.5% alc by vol.

Medium ruby color, med+ aroma, red fruit cherry, strawberry, plum, lots of black pepper. Med tannins, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity. Very easy to drink, good with red meat
