2014 #wine was completely different from the 13'.

The wine overall feels more commercial. Filtered, polished, fruit forward.

Brighter color, more clearity, bright raspberry flavor. Seems like it was made for the U.S. market. A simpler wine not reflecting terrior. Alc is slightly more detectable in this vintage.

Opening 13' & 14 tonight for comparison #wine. #Sustainable #farming, and proclaimed Lutte raisoneé.

80/20
#syrah/#grenache. Surprisingly damp & earthy lacking mourvedre or carignan. Dark red, ruby on the edge. Damp earth, barnyard and cat litter (unused). All blows off to red roses, potpourri and cranberry. Palate is awesomely balanced. Earth shows up there. Slightly leathery, mild acid, not a lot of tannin. Light/medium body. Opened 4/1/17 with baked rock fish and greens.

Better than 2013...don't hate. More pleasurable overall. 😏 #languedoc #France

Most unusual wine in a while. Cow manure, cat litter and blackberry aromas, which eventually mellowed out. Bold acidity and berry finish. Super complicated but still enjoyable through all the shenanigans! #languedoc #France

I liked this. It was easy to drink. Very aromatic. Maybe a little floral and jammy to call it a favorite. But would definitely buy it again.

Brilliant full Syrah. Drank with Jamaican jerk pork chops and it was perfect.

Aromatic and expressive with pencil shavings/graphite. Red fruit with some grilled meat undertones and spice on the nose. Good tannic structure and easy to drink, with some blueberry and red/black fruit on the palate. Olive on the finish with good acidity.
