A very commendable chianti at the price range, this affable, crowd-pleasing Italian possesses a nose of soft cherries and French oak, and has surprisingly dense fruit both for a Sangiovese at this price point. Aromatic and well balanced with notes of potpourri, fresh cut herbs, and medium acidity. Woody tannins contribute to the medium finish, carrying through notes of sandalwood.

I’m not going to pretend that I know the right words to describe what I taste. For those like me out there, this wine is yummy. I would definitely drink it with traditional italian food. I enjoyed this wine. I’d say it’s medium bodied, it’s not intense - it’s quite nice.

Excellent with lasagna or any red sauce pasta dish! Not too powerful, very drinkable. Definitely would buy again.

Classico 2011. Ruby with red berry fruit and earthy herb spice. On the palate blackberry fruit, pepper spice and tight grainy tannins. Medium finish ending with earthy tones. Not great. Tasting Sample.

Passable table wine, simple, a bit bitter around the edges, but an ok way to accompany a red sauce meal.

A great option for the price. Enjoyed with veal piccata.
