Salento Negroamaro

I had on my notes- dark and aromatic. Incredibly lively nose of licorice and spice. A touch of red apple skin, plenty of blackberry and tart acidity that was balanced nicely. This was $15?! A real steal.

Juicy dark fruit. Licorice. Florals. Earth. Good value.

Big, meaty and highly aromatic. Not enough people spend time on the aroma of a wine, but you can't really help but notice this one - it just explodes from the glass. The palat is juicy but fresh. Terrific value.

Sweeter than most

Deep, dark, earthy blueberry red fruit, bordering on soy sauce. Clean finish. Really enjoyable!

Needs to breathe! Nose is licorice, cardamom, and those strawberry candies with the soft center that are wrapped to look like a strawberry. Taste has cloves or nutmeg, maybe bran muffin. Smooth. Dry. Pairs with beef or lamb. ABV13%

Dark red/purple hue. Nose of tart raspberries and alcohol/licorice and woody oak. Medium body with slight tartness. Minimal tannins.
