2014 vintage - from March 2015 Altura wine club.
Originally a Bordeaux grape, carmenere has found a home in the high elevations of Chile where it develops into a ripe but complex wine. This particular carmenere displays a bright aromas of red fruit, plums, and a touch of black pepper. It has a medium body and elegant but gripping tannins. Ideal with chicken in a red curry sauce.
