Dark blackish purple in the glass. Reedy somewhat petrol-y nose of black and dark red fruits. Juicy (medium plus) acidity and medium tannins surround the medium full palate of blackberries, blueberries, and light hint of anise on the finish. A very good red from one of Italy’s less well-known regions that piques your interest and leaves you wanting to know more. Rich meaty fare will appreciate this.

Could drink this again. Tannins leave me wanting more each taste. Plum and cherry notes.

Catchy label. Classy, pretty cool, and info dense. Deep red/ruby. Black in the center. Smells nice. Toasted herbs, black licorice, tar weed, black pepper, and smoke. Flavor is smooth and easy. Bit more fruit and jammy/juicy stuff than expected. It has nice balance and plenty of kick though. Lingering complexity of basil and sage with the dry tannins. This is nice drinking complex Italian red. Would crush with a nice rich sauce or hard cheeses and dry cured meats.

Vanilla and berry richness. Even and smooth. Covers all the dimensions of a good blend.

Dry, smokey, tannic. One dimensional but would works in its favor. A simple, robust wine that would go well with some serious backyard BBQ.
