Medium bodied, juicy black/red fruits, peppery (seems a Grampians trait?), fine tannin, balanced good length. Continued strongly into a second night, great QPR, easy to buy.

Nothing to write home about. Keep it moving... the remains will be dispatched.

Dark crimson in colour. Some meaty charcuterie aromas. Medium weight and spicy with savoury berry fruit. Love this style. No expected black pepper - probably because of the riper fruit and warmer year. No overt oak influence because of the use of large format oak casks. Most enjoyable.

An opaque dark crimson in colour. Herbaceous on the nose with Mint, spice and plum - earthy mineral nuances as well. Medium to full bodied palate with plum and mint, essentially savoury, a touch of black pepper - still with firm tannins. From a very old pedigreed area for long living Shiraz in Great Western in Victoria. Good value and QPR at $25 AUD from Bests. I have Bin 0 and Thompson’s Family Cuvées that are older than this but not nearly ready.

Love the variation to Shiraz in this country! No appellation d'origine contrôlée here :) generous fruit for a cool-climate Victorian, dark, a medium bodied balance of juicy-but-lean, sandy tannin with a delicious savoury finish.

Great wine - notes of prune white pepper and cigar. Medium bodied savoury palate in the northern Rhone style. Very good QPR at $21. Winner of the 2012 Jimmy Watson Trophy at Royal Melbourne for Best One Year old red.

Dark berries with Floral (violets). I wasn't a big fan of this bottle.
