Santa Ynez Valley Cabernet Franc

Surprisingly yummy Cali Cab Franc. Starts out strangely carbonic, but after a 45 min decant it struts some very Chinon stuff. A light, zippy but woodsy-sweet lingering red.

A lean green little machine, but lightly floral and pretty dead ringer for Chinon. Low alcohol, crushable.

12.8% alc. 166 cases produced.

You have to have an open mind and appreciate the green, slightly austere and herbaceous side of CF to appreciate this.

If tasted blind (and had it not been for the medium-bodied palate) I could have been in Chinon here. And that's a compliment.

This one was off for sure. Almost effervescent with that carbonic maceration type flavors.

Solid effort from a great producer. This wine is fun as well. Definitely worth a try!

Really pretty wine bru

All the people saying Chinon on here have never drunk Chinon. Maybe it's the vintage. This is New Central California to a tee. Ripe dark fruits. Juicy. No brett. Quite nice as aperitif. Too fruity/carbonic to stand up to serious dinner.
