Fidès Savennières Chenin Blanc

Stern, mineral, with quite a bit of volume for savennieres. Yellow Japanese plum, white peach, slate. Rocky bite

So fragrant and tacticle with it’s acidity and mineral back bone. Pure, crystalline orchard fruits and blossoms backed by white tea, wet stones, the faintest kiss of earth and spice.

Granitic. Tart yellow plums, Manuka honey, pine resin. Perfumed, dazzlingly long mineral finish. Just starting to express itself.

Mouthfilling with its richness and chewy texture. Complex layers on the nose and palate make for a contemplative drink, always changing and expressing a new aspect. Acidity is long, powerful, and holds the wine together. Ripe orchard fruit, a touch tropical, lemon peel, white lilly, wet stones/concrete, nougat, spring honey, tea leaf, wool and beeswax. Has all the makings of a great Chenin in 10 years

Great showing and a decade left in the tank.

The 2015 is, unsurprisingly, bigger than the ‘14. I didn’t care for it as much

Waxy, a little nutty, oxidized orchard and pit fruit, lemon oil, saline stony finish. Very nice spot development-wise

Killer

Great wine. High salinity. Pale gold in color. Notes of lemon, honey, melon, white flowers. Rich, oily mouthfeel. Medium acidity. Paired with a shrimp pasta dish. Reminds me of spring on the ocean.

This wine is getting better and better each vintage!
