Cranberry sauce and baked red fruit on the nose. Once in the mouth dark and spiced red fruit predominates - stewed strawberry, cranberry sauce, cinnamon, oak, clove, plum, cherry tart, and rhubarb pie with some savory notes as well Medium alcohol, light plus tannins, high acid with a tart red fruit finish.

Inky garnet in the glass. Smoky bing cherry, clove and baking spices on the nose. Silky on the palate with vanilla and ripe raspberry, very fine tannins. Perfect pairing with Salmon in a Honey, Soy, Garlic and Dijon glaze!

Charred fruit on the nose. Strawberry, cranberry, rhubarb, cinnamon, pomegranate on the palate with savory mushroom notes as well. Moderate minus tannins and moderate plus acid. Definitely on the tart side.

Charred fruit and strawberry nose. It may be the power of suggestion, but it does seem to have almond on the palate. This wine displays darker notes with cinnamon and clove as it ages. This is a substantial pinot, the kind that would hold up to a steak, with medium plus body and chewy tannins in the finish along with medium acid.

As this wine has aged the nose trends toward charred fruit with strawberry in the background. The wine is more tannic than average for a Pinot noir with strawberry, cherry, and raspberry on the palate. The central coast earthy notes and Carmel Valley tangy notes are there too, as well as ample acid in the finish. This wine is coming into its own at four years, and, given how bold it is, I’m guessing it will drink well for the next few years. Good thing I have more bottles!

Dark cherry nose. Heavier in the mouth than your average Pinot with more dark cherry, rhubarb pie, and moderating darker merlot notes. Chewy tannins and long acid in the finish. This is a substantial 100% Pinot with nice balance from start to finish.

Burgundian in style. Medium red in color. Nose is baked cherry and rhubarb pie. Dark cherry, cola, oak and strawberry on the palate. Medium acid finish. Well balance and smooth.

Deep, earthy aromas of black cherry and blackberry. On the palate, the tannins grip you by the balls and never let go, obscuring the abundant black cherry fruit. This has the makings of a great Pinot but could definitely sit for a number of years to mellow and integrate.
