Just the right amount of age with graceful tannins and still some nice lush fruit present. These wines age well and Medlock Ames continues to score with these wines.

Still deeply colored and saturated, with big, mostly resolved tannins. Fruit is turning the corner, highlighting the spicy, leathery development. A very well-made wine to have held up in half bottle, in who knows what conditions. Throwing just a bit of sediment. $12.58 at Kroger in Charlottesville

2013 vintage. Bordeaux blend with just a splash of Syrah but not very detectable. Almost French in style - ripe but not overripe as is so popular in California. Nice black fruit, vanilla, coffee, and a hint of chocolate. Very tasty.
