Black tea, tar, roses, dried roses, sour cherry, mid season cherry, spice, juicy and round, ripe tannins, but big and imposing. Very pure. Round. Juicy. Great showing.

What a difference (almost) a year makes. Stunning nose. Super aromatics. Yowza. Smokey mountain Nebbiolo. Yum. Isn’t that a Dolly Parton song? Old books. Earth, leather, so so good, feral and savory. Wow. Really. 9.4 nose. Wow. Super sweet and refined palate with amazing purity and super velvety tannins. Showing so well now. So distinctive and unique. But also so well made like the world’s best wines. Brilliant.

This wine is always a 🎯. Great bottle. Aromas one can get lost in. Roses, tar, red cherries, super aromatic, minerals, old wooden cabinet. So classic Nebbiolo. Gorgeous palate of wonderful structure and purity. Terrific mouthfeel of velvet and sweet cherry fruits. Elegant and ethereal with terrific structure. So pure. Vibrant and lively with haunting finesse and elegance. A beautiful wine. Concentrated and deep. So authentic. I love this style of wine.

Tar, roses, rich blue fruits

So so good. Cherry flower. Pulverized dried cherries. So aromatic. Licorice. Spice and floral in the background but will develop with air. Wow the cherry is so vivid. What lift. So elegant and pure. What elegance! But has that Boca structure and tannin. So so elegant. Best young Barbaglia Boca ever. So good. Long. Terrific inner mouth aromas. Fruit and florals. Insane concentration and such a baby! So refined. Really refined tannins. Wow this is exquisite. I’ll be back as it opens.

As it opens it becomes more integrated. Terrific ripe tannins. Really refined stuff.

Roses, tar, blue fruits, so detailed and delicate, yet grandiose and dramatic. Mint, menthol, so complex. Stunning. You can smell all day. Palate is delicate and juicy, So elegant with fine tannins, blue fruits and lovely hint of rusticity.

Nose: sweet roses and cherries. Intense and beautiful. So floral

Palate: sweet cherries. A bit right but so lovely and balanced. Juicy. Still young. Has a decade to go at least.

Needs an hour. Then magnificent. The 20% vespolina just takes this over the top.

Almost a 9.6. A perfect boca.
