Subtle Rutherford bench fruit. Cherry and violets. Some vanilla and leather. Tannins are softening. Great way to finish a week of unusual wines and celebrate another year in the books. Another Scott McLeod work of art.

Perfect! The needed 15 minutes to open up. The fruit came out and we really enjoyed it. You get the American oak shining through. For 2001 it was great. At its peak?
