Wonderful herbaceous notes (sage) early on, followed by heavy tobacco, black cherry, white pepper, and subtle cola notes wind out the pallet experience.

Mineral (wet stone) and cedar notes play off each other nicely on the nose. Yum!

A damn fine cab. Slightly herbacious and subtly tannic. A real unusual cab, and a real treat :)

There's a great heartwarming story behind the label of this wine and that makes it so much more memorable. I forgot how enjoyable this wine was, and especially after some much needed bottle time. Mocha aromas compliment the smooth black fruits, leather and anise. I like the lighter style and balanced acidity that won't take a back seat to the smooth, easy-drinking tannins.

Label has a fake char to the edge. High alcohol at 14.4%. Dark and dense in the cup. Can’t see through it. Smells like dried banana, latex paint, cinnamon and other fall spices, and ripe red plums. Flavors are very dry with mocha, black pepper, herbs, licorice, and smoke. Fleshy, full, complex. It’s big with heavy tannic extraction. This is a bombastic and hefty Cab.

Had this over a French dinner in Philadelphia. This was really a lovely wine. Full structure and just enough tannins. I need to get my hands on another bottle.
