Not Burgundy. Not even typical Oregon. This is singular Eyrie Pinot Noir. Gorgeously exotic at 9.5 years. Lovely now but should age well at least through 2025.

On the backslope of it’s lifespan but still spectacular. Delicate, red fruit bouquet.

Dusty, earthy, potting soil, slightly floral note with strawberry, wild berry, candies red cherry, cinnamon, clove, med plus body, med to med plus acidity. A bit rustic in terms of style and texture.

Red fruit leading to darker berries. Smoke & spice add complexity layers. Tannins are moderate but quite present & acidity is fresh. One of my favorite producers from anywhere and the vintage suits them. Best after a couple hours of air.

Felt like I needed to remind myself how much I loved this wine and add it to my wine log.

Enjoyed this baby with Elaina and the Meurer's old shack cabin the last time we were there before they tore it down.
