Upon first opening this #merlot, it seemed promising. The color shows a slight brown hue. Even after 30min of time open, it showed itself and began downward.

Color is dark. Almost opaque. Nose had strong black cherries and some mushroom. Palate went from vibrant black raspberry/stewed black cherry to black cherry/raisiny. There is a trace of alc on the palate during the finish.

Needs a little more love for what it has going for it. Opened 12/29/15

Decent. Tasted more like a Chambourcin than a Merlot.

Having 2013 now..good Merlot but not outstanding. A little berry, mild tobacco. Great winery to visit.
