Had another bottle of this same win on Christmas in 2014, thought it was on the decline then but has held up well for a Bordeaux style Napa wine. Would drink it now though will not get better.

Disappointing as the fruit has started to fade and the oak is still abundant and overpowering. Still black, rich and layered flavors, but an echo of what Napa Cab should be at this age. Such is the life of a wine from a riper vintage.

Hunter says "tastes like wine". Liz says, "Does this need to breath? Notes of elderberry. Good acidity." Mark says, "for a 20 yr old wine with questionable provenance, far more fruit than expected. Tannins resolved. Overall a great wine that tasted old world." Gregg says"some forest floor, autumn leaves, cassis and stewed fruit. Beautifully developed."
