After wading through sage smudge sticks & ashen pine forests I stumble upon Willy Wonka’s sinister step brother’s setup lined with dried black cherries, dark chocolate covered cherry cordials & espresso beans, soaked rum cake, brandied soaked plums, figs and a finish of cocoa powder with flowerless dark chocolate cake

Brilliant medium plus garnet Complex nose of crushed black fruit, tar, plum, and red floral notes with a hint of oak some on the long finish. Powerful and elegant with luscious smokey and mocha notes

Marvelous library release from magnum. Brilliant medium plus garnet but aside from a bit of brick in the room giving very little sign of its age. Complex nose of tar, plum, black berries and red floral notes with a hint of oak some on the long finish. Nice mocha note as well. Powerful but surprisingly agile on the palate. Suave and elegant

The best Amarone I have ever had! Blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina. Dark ruby color with a hint of red around the rim. Lovely aromas of black fruit, violets, baking spices, and cocoa. Full pallet of dried fig, black plums, black tea, and herbs. Earth and mineral notes on the very long finish. Creamy texture. Tannins are a bit chewy but not over top. Everything about this wine is totally in harmony and no one flavor dominates. Unbelievable! Thank you for sharing this one Kasey and Petey! Revisited in July 2023. Still incredible!
