This is a very tasty red blend from California.

Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Medium plus in body with a nice mouthfeel.

Dry and fruity on the palate with medium acidity.

Showing cherries, currants, plums, cooked strawberries, spices, oak, light vanilla, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn, earth and black tea.

Nice length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 8 year old is drinking very nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.

Spicy with nice complexity. Tasty and easy drinking. Rich, elegant and fruit forward.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 3 hours of airtime.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. A good party wine too.

Grapes are grown in Sierra Foothills and Sonoma County.

A blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah.

14.7% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$40.

Blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon (with a few other varieties) from Sonoma (69%) and Sierra Foothills (31%), deep Ruby with aromas of black fruits, spice and sweet herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and herb spice with notes of pepper. Medium+ finish, fine tannins, ending with fruit, spice and slight oak.

Dark red purple. Inviting nose of currant and blueberry cobbler. Full bodied palate of black raspberry, currant, and blueberry with a light vanilla sheen. Medium minus acidity and next to no tannins make this unabashedly New World red perfect for cigars, hard cheeses, or warm weather spicy fare. Look elsewhere for your Porterhouse pair or Cassoulet companion. Drink now.

Another great vintage of this wine. I’m amazed at the year to year consistency. Fantastic flavors of raspberry and strawberry, baking spice, great tannins and acidity - food friendly but not required. Crowd pleasing, pop and pour goodness.

A unique blend of 50% Grenache along with 5 other varietals with aromas of plum, strawberry along with a background of leather & smoke. Evolves nicely on the palate with stewed strawberries, dried herbs & raspberry sauce with a hint of fig & vanilla throughout the finish along with mild tannins. Excellent on it's own, but also quite a nice pairing with honey mustard pork chops with roasted brussel sprouts! ($35) [3/7/22]

Another excellent vintage of this fantastic Helen Kepplinger Rhône-style blend. Bold nose of red berry fruit, violets and white pepper. Ripe and plush raspberry and strawberry on the pallet but nicely balanced. Tannins are silky and fine grained. Excellent!

Beautiful wine. Some call it her "second label" and I think I recall Helen saying something along the line of her utilizing extra/leftover juices to create a bit of a "kitchen sink" wine. While hard to find under $35, I did score a case @ $25 each and am so glad I did. An "artisanal red wine blend" that shouldn't be missed.

I really just love this wine. It’s always so reliable, delicious and guilt-free. Another Cali Rhone blend that works so well. Incredible fruit - almost compote-like, great balance, smooth texture, and super easy drinking - I can’t say enough good things about this wine. And at under 40 bucks and made by Helen Keplinger it’s a steal.
