Barolo Nebbiolo

Beautiful elegance. Still alive and well

This shined bright tonight. Intense, ethereal and meaty nose. Lots of palate presence and energy. Best bottle of this I've had.

Opens with a bit of a stinky nose. Softens and improves but not as good a showing as a previous bottle.

Drinking beautifully dried earth mushroom and still some cherry fruit here.

Great depth and complexity. A fabulous high note of refined rich saddle leather with a complex blueberry and blackberry overtones and a very profound nose and finish.

So much better than the first bottle consumed a month or so ago. As they say, there are no great wines, only great bottles.

Stunningly beautiful brownish copper colour. Starts a bit shy, but is just singing from the top of its lungs after a while. Leather, sous bouis, rosehip, a bit of tar and orange zest. Great balance and length.

Hmmm...where did I leave off about four months ago? It certainly wasn’t with aged Nebbiolo, but that seems like a great place to pick back up. This was a splendid bottle and everything was in balance. Great nose, fruit present, nice finish. WOTN for me and top 1 or 2 for most.

Showed poorly :(

Floral and feminine but excellent structure. This is a wine made with kindness, and you can taste it. Exceptional.
