Big head... smells of Molasses and chocolate cake. A classic Trappist. Dark. Thick. A slow sipper. Tried to match with Indian food... I’d say it worked-ish. (the vintage is on the cork).

Can beer really have aging potential? Having had the fortune of tasting some old undiscovered and very unique barrels from Carlsberg’s cellars dating back to 1959 I would say Heck yeah....

Notable for its toasted grain, complex yeast and slightly metallic, noble hop aromas. Maybe it wasn't the best choice for gumbo but it worked pretty well and brought a bit of solace on a rough day for Belgium.
