Nothing to compliment the tannins. Oak splinters, graphite, bitter dark fruit, very slow to open up, even with decanting, not thin but a short, sharp bitter finish

Finish is a little light but generally full body. Nice wine would drink 7 to 10 yrs max.

Feb 6th, 2015Clear deep ruby with hints of brick and watery rim. Clean on the nose, medium+ intensity aroma still developing. Beautiful flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, plum, hint of cedar and vanilla buttery undertone. Dry on the palate with high but smooth tannin, medium balanced acidity, medium+ alcohol, and full bodied with layered complexity. Quite fruity flavours of blackcurrant, black cherry, cedar, vanilla and hint of spice. Long and pleasant finish. Very good quality, drink now but can still age for another 3 years or so for a even more sophisticated drink.
