Brooding, corpulent blue and black things. Tannic, but the tannins are well integrated. Avoids the monolithic qualities that detract from a few 2015s. #brun #cotedebrouilly #gamay #beaujolais

Soft and ready to drink now, has loads of soft, sultry cherry fruit and a smoky, stony component in the nose. Ripe and soft in the mouth, with a friendly whack of fruit up front, turning minerally in the back half, where a little tannin sneaks in.

Stewed fruit, raisin and molasses on the nose, picking up sweetness on the palate with clove, earth, plum jam and prominent tannins. Lacks the fresh-fruited Beaujolais profile I prefer, but still impressive.

This was more muscular and rigid than the Morgon, with slightly less immediate appeal but delicious nonetheless. Give it a year or two.

Bright medium ruby. Needs a bit of air to open up then yields a cascade of fruit- raspberry, kirsch and cherry, violets, earthy undertones and a bit of candied fruit without a hint of seemed. Very focused acidity and silky, well defined tannins. Long finish- lots of depth here

Tastes cheap to me. Big fruit, expressive and opulent, lacking subtley, sharp and wonky.

Not the best 2015 I've had, but every time I drink a Beaujolais from this vintage, I somehow fall more in love with them.
